With classes just beginning, some students may wonder how one can add or drop a class; some classes may prove to be too hard, or one student would like to tackle another class to graduate in a timely manner. A student can easily adjust their course load by going on KeanWISE and following a few simple steps.
If a student would like to drop a class please follow the instructions below:

Log in to KeanWISE

Go to the ‘Registration’ tab and click on ‘Register for Sections’

Click on the link that reads ‘Drop Sections’

Select the desired class or classes to be dropped and click ‘Submit’
If a student would like to add a class please follow the instructions below:

Log in to KeanWISE

Go to the ‘Registration’ tab and click on ‘Register for Sections’

Click on the link “Search and Register for Classes”

Fill in the needed information

Once the desired course is found, click the box next to it and press ‘Submit’

When brought to the next page, simply press the pull down box and click ‘Register’

Please note that if a student decides to take more than 19 credits, a waiver is required. Please refer to this website for more information: kean.edu/sites/default/files/u4/Registration_Petition.pdf
Students are only allowed to drop classes in the spring and fall semesters. Below are dates for when a student can get a refund for dropping a class:

January 21 to January 27: students can receive a 100 percent refund

January 28 to February 3: students can receive a 75 percent refund

February 4 to February 10: students can receive a 50 percent refund

February 11 to March 2: students can receive a ‘W’ or withdrawal grade on one’s transcript with a 0 percent refund

Any day after March 2: students will receive an incomplete grade and get 0 percent refund
Keep in mind that dropping a class after March 2 will result in the student having to either retake the course the following semester or makeup the ‘incomplete’ grade the following semester. For anyone who is adding a class, the last day to do so is Friday, February 20, 2015.
