Rights: Every Human Deserves Them

On Friday, March 13, 2015, the Human Rights Institute will be hosting the eighth Annual Human Rights Conference with a title of Well Being: The Human Right to Healthcare. This conference will focus on the main problem millions of people face today which is living a healthy life. As said on the website of the Human Rights Institute, “the strength of the world depends primarily on the health of its greatest resource – its people.”  When the human race is healthy, they don’t just survive, they live their lives by educating ourselves, pursuing careers, and enjoying each day with different activities.

People cannot survive without the proper medical necessities, and with this conference many people will get an understanding of why healthcare is an important necessity to every individual in the world. There will be two guest speakers at the conference: best-selling author and Senior Fellow for Global Health at the Council on Foreign Relations [CFR] located in New York, Laurie Garret; and Catherine Albisa who is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the National Economic Rights and Social Rights Initiative [NESRI], as well as a constitutional and human rights lawyer and a commissioner for New York’s Commission on Human Rights.
