Liberty Hall Museum is seeking volunteers to assist them at Liberty Hall Farm, a volunteer experience that will allow students to plant, harvest, and maintain Kean University’s urban farm.

Liberty Hall Farm is seeking volunteers Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. throughout the month of October.  All volunteer work will count as volunteer hours. Students may volunteer as individuals or in groups. Volunteers are advised to dress comfortably and wear closed toe shoes. While volunteering all tools will be provided.

Liberty Hall Farm works in partnership with “Come Grow With Us!”, a program of Groundwork Elizabeth. Groundwork Elizabeth engages the community in addressing challenges in urban communities. Their mission is, “To improve places and in doing so to improve the lives of people within the Elizabeth community and beyond.”

Make a difference this semester at Kean University. Consider this the first opportunity to get involved in the new school year. For more information feel free to contact Liberty Hall Farm Director Jackie Park Albaum at jackie@groundworkelizabeth.com and by phone at 917-655-5638.
