Three Cougars Tabbed With National Honors

Grand Chute, Wis. (5/24/07) - Joe Augustine (Highland Park, N.J.) was tabbed as a first-team All-American while senior Dan Zeffiro (Old Bridge, N.J.) was selected as a third-team member. Senior Perry Schatzow (Ocean Twp., N.J.) was selected as a first-ever member of the Rawlings Gold Glove team, along with Zeffiro as announced at the NCAA Division III Baseball Banquet Thursday evening. Augustine, who has already been selected as the Mid-Atlantic Region, New Jersey Athletic Conference and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Assocation Pitcher of the Year, earns his first-ever All-American honor. Augustine becomes just the third player in program history to earn the honor.

Zeffiro, who earned second-team honors in 2005, also becomes the third player in program history to earn third-team honors. Zeffiro was also selected to the first-ever 9 member Rawlings Gold Glove team, selected on the basis of defensive achievement.

Schatzow was also selected as a member of the first-ever Rawlings Gold Glove Team.
