William Paterson Sweeps Kean in NJAC Volleyball

UNION, N.J. (9/18/07) - William Paterson University sophomore Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J.) recorded 10 kills and 11 digs to lead the Pioneers to a victory over Kean University (30-12, 30-17, 30-12) in New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball action on Tuesday evening. For Kean (2-7, 0-2 NJAC), senior Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) had 10 kills and six digs, while freshman Nicole Bolash (Clinton, N.J.) added seven kills and a team-high nine digs, Freshman Ivana Kapetanovic (East Brunswick, N.J.) had a match-high 20 assists while adding two service aces.

In the victory for the Pioneers (9-1, 1-1 NJAC), senior Tamara Miller (Maplewood, N.J.) added 10 digs and four kills, while rookie Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J.) added a team-high nine assists and four service aces.

The Cougars return to action on Thursday, September 20, when they travel to Rutgers-Newark for an NJAC match at 7 p.m.
