Baseball Presented With Championship Rings

Union, N.J. (10/20/07) - The Kean University baseball team was honored during the homecoming celebration on Saturday, October 20th as they were presented with their championship rings for winning the 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship.All 35 members (29 players, 6 coaches) were present as Kean University President Dawood Farahi and Vice President Robert Cole, along with Athletic Director Glenn Hedden presented the team their championship rings during halftime of the Cougars football game against Rowan University. The ceremony concluded as the championship banner was raised for the first time.

Kean captured the 2007 championship on May 29, 2007 in Grand Chute, Wisconsin as they defeated Emory University, 5-4 in 10 innings.
