UNION, N.J. (11/12/07) - Senior quarterback AJ Roque (Matawan, N.J.) earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Kean University football team to a 37-27 victory over NJAC co-champion The College of New Jersey in the final game of his stellar career. Roque had 272 yards passing and a school record five touchdowns as he helped the Cougars hand TCNJ their only conference loss of the season.

A four-year starter, Roque became the NJAC's all-time passing leader in the fourth quarter with a 58-yard touchdown pass, sealing the Cougar victory. Roque closes out his career with 8,448 passing yards to break the NJAC record of 8,408 yards set by Ed Collins of Montclair State University from 1999 through 2001.

Kean posts back-to-back non-losing seasons for just the third time in program history and the first time since Kean recorded winning seasons from 1992 through 1994.
