Six Cougars Named To All-NJAC Squad

Pitman, N.J. (11/6/07) - Senior forward Anthony Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.) as well as senior midfielder Konrad Kruczek (Clifton, N.J.) have been named to the 2007 First Team New Jersey Athletic Conference team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.Along with Tuesta and Kruczek, freshman Jerry Saintil (East Orange, N.J.), senior Damien Serafin (Wallington, N.J.), junior James Doherty (Little Silver, N.J.) and senior Kyle Crego (Ocean City, N.J.) have been tabbed to the Honorable Mention squad.

Kruczek finished his four year career at Kean this season with 19 goals and 10 assists along with five game-winners. Kruczek is one of only two members of the entire conference squad to have been named an award winner in every season he competed.

Tuesta, who was named the 2006 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year in his junior campaign, closes out his two year career at Kean with 24 goals and eight assists for a total of 94 points. He also collected eight game-winners in a 38-game span.

Crego totaled 193 saves in 53 games played during his four year career. In over 4,000 minutes of action, Crego compiled a 1.32 goals against average while also recording 11 shuouts.

Serafin, a three time NJAC award winner, closed out his career with 15 goals and 12 assists for 42 points in 57 games played.

This is the first award for Doherty who helped anchor the Cougar defense this season. Doherty also has recorded three career goals and two assists from his back position.

Saintil was named honorable mention in his rookie campaign after tallying three goals an dtwo assists in 15 games played.
