UNION, N.J. (1/9/07) - Seniors Konrad Kruczek (Clifton, N.J.) and Anthony Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.) both earned additional postseason honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) and D3kicks.com after concluding their careers on the Kean University men's soccer team this past fall. A four-year starter, Kruczek (pictured right) was named a D3kicks.com Second-Team All-American and was a first-team All-Metro Region pick by both D3kicks.com and the NSCAA. The fourth player in program history to earn NSCAA regional honors three times, Kruczek earned NSCAA first-team honors for the first time in his career after being named a second-team all-star the previous two seasons.

Kruczek was also named to his third-straight New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference First-Team, becoming just the eighth player in the storied history of the program to earn such an accomplishment. A second-team all-NJAC player as a freshman in 2004, the versatile Kruczek was just one of two player on the NJAC all-star team to earn honors all four seasons.

Offensively, Kruczek has a career season in 2007, scoring nine goals and adding five assists for 23 points, good for second on the team in all three categories. In 82 career games, the midfielder scored 19 goals, including five game-winners, and had 10 assists for 48 career points.

The 2006 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, Tuesta (pictured left) earned D3kicks.com and NSCAA Metro Region first-team honors for the second straight season. This past season, Tuesta posted team-highs of 11 goals and six assists for 28 points, to rank in the top 10 of the NJAC.

In his two-year career at Kean, Tuesta scored 24 goals and added 10 assists for 58 points in a 38-game span.

The Cougars finished the 2007 campaign one win shy of making the NJAC playoffs, battling to a 9-10 overall record after playing on the nation's toughest schedules. Of the 10 losses by Kean, five came against Top 25 teams, including four in the Top 10.
