CAPE COD, Mass. (1/8/07) - Seniors AJ Roque (Matawan, N.J.) and Clarence Goodman (Old Bridge, N.J.) have been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southeast Football All-Star team, as announced by the ECAC on Tuesday morning. The 2006 and 2007 New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Roque (pictured right) became the NJAC's all-time passing leader in the final game of his career. In 40 career games under center, Roque threw for 8,443 passing yards and a school-record 65 touchdowns.

A four-year starter at quarterback, Roque broke his own school record with 2,463 passing yards and tied his school record with 19 touchdown passes this past fall. He threw a school-record five touchdown passes in Kean's season-ending upset victory over NJAC co-champion The College of New Jersey, helping hand the Lions their only conference loss of the season.

In all, Roque holds the program record in 12 different categories, including the top eight single game passing marks.

After missing all of 2006 with an injury, Goodman (pictured left) returned to the Cougar lineup and led the team and finished third in the NJAC in tackles per game (92/9.2 per game). He also added five sacks for a loss of 27 yards and was 10th in the NJAC with 13.5 tackles for a loss

The NJAC Defensive Player of the Week following Kean's overtime victory over Rowan University, Goodman also blocked three kicks this season, including a pair of punts in the endzone that resulted in safeties.
