Union, N.J. (1/17/08) - Senior outfielder Bryan Burke (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) has been selected as a D3baseball.com 2nd Team Preseason All-American as announced on Thursday. Burke, who transferred from Frostburg State University, is entering his senior season and first as a Cougar. As a junior, Burke started and played all 42 games for the Bobcats with a team-leading .426 batting average to go along with a team-high 27 stolen bases. Burke, who also tallied six triples, led Frostburg with 66 hits as well as 26 walks.

In 2007, Burke was selected a Rawlings Gold Glove winner along with former Cougars Perry Schatzow (Ocean Twp., N.J.) and Dan Zeffiro (Old Bridge, N.J.).
