(9/19/09) - Junior Briann McDonough (North Arlington, N.J.) netted the game-winner in the 86th minute as #8 The College of New Jersey edged Kean University, 1-0, Saturday evening at Kean Alumni Stadium. Although TCNJ (7-0, 1-0 NJAC) held a decisive advantage in shots (25-6) and corner opportunities (12-1), the match remained scoreless until 86:25 as freshman Allyson Anderson (Point Pleasant, N.J.) fired a shot high near the crossbar. Junior keeper Leandra Russo (Galloway, N.J.) batted the ball down where McDonough collected and slipped a shot past the Kean defenders.

Russo recorded 13 saves in the loss while senior Jessica Clarke (Wayne, N.J.) tallied four in the shutout win.
