Many students don't realize the importance of having an internship until it is too late. Fortunately, Kean is adapting Career Services to have a more expansive Office of Internships department to better benefit Kean students.
Part of Kean University's mission of offering a world-class college experience is the presentation of world-class performances through Kean Stage. Each year, Kean Stage offers a variety of different performances, showcases, and plays of all kinds to bring students and members of the community to Kean to enjoy. These showcases take place around campus in one of Kean's many theatres.

Housed in the Nancy Thompson Library, the Kean University Human Rights Institute is dedicated to supporting and promoting equal rights and anti-discrimination throughout not only Kean University but extends to the world. The institute designs ways to combat human rights atrocities and their causes. It is passionate about the importance of awareness and education for human rights that are being violated all over the world.
Kean University is dedicated to the safety of all students, staff and faculty. On campus there is a fully functioning police department with law enforcement and security services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Located in Downs Hall, the police department maintains a K-9 unit and protects and serves the Kean community following the three values "Integrity. Courage. Respect".

Kean University Rotaract Action Club (KURAC) is a worldwide service organization that allows young adults to serve as leaders in the community. Rotaract will be made up of six new eboard members including president Stephanie Mera, vice president Michelle Duarte, secretary Akane Ueda, treasurer Mike Gonzalez, director of public relations Sarah Fedak, and advisor Bok Jeong.
Kean University is home to more than 100 undergraduate programs that allow its students to develop and obtain knowledge in many areas.
With all of his involvement and positions on campus, John Simons keeps busy. Simons works as a student ambassador with the Office of Admissions. He is a Nu Sigma Phi Greek Senate representative, student chapter president of The One Club, and public relations director of The Graphic Organization (GO!).
The Physical Therapy Club (PT Club) at Kean University was established to help guide students aspiring to pursue careers in physical therapy.
Kean University takes pride in its organizations and student leaders. With that being said, there are more than 160 student groups with a variety of eboard members. On March 20, the Kean University field hockey team was awarded a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award. This award is only presented to teams that have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester, which the Cougars met and surpassed with a team GPA of 3.6. Only 131 Division III Field Hockey teams, including the Cougars, earned the distinction this season.
