W. John Bauer and Nancy Boucher established The Bauer Boucher Playwriting Awards in 2014 to recognize one Kean student and one Kean alumni for their work each year. This award supports the writers who are awarded it in enhanced visibility, dramaturgical feedback, a cash award and the opportunity to hear their plays read out loud by an ensemble of professional actors. This is an amazing opportunity for young writers to have their work put out into the world and get a jumpstart to their career.

With students returning to campus, sports at Kean University is in full swing and Women’s Volleyball is no exception. The girls have been doing amazing this season on and off of campus, giving their opponents a battle every-time they step onto the court. Held on April 23 and 24, Kean’s Marketing faculty and student team presented their research to the EATA (East Asian Trade Association) Biannual International Virtual Conference and Research Symposium. Assistant professor in the School of Management and Marketing, Min Chung Han, Ph.D., senior majoring in marketing Adrian Peralta and WKU senior majoring in marketing Danwei Yang received an award for their research presentation.

A music ensemble is known as a group of individuals who perform vocally or instrumentally together in a unified way. Kean’s music ensemble is the home of multiple sections, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber music for strings and winds, Chamber winds, and a Percussion Ensemble. Open to all students, music ensemble is a great way for students to explore their musical side and be a part of something amazing.

Repollet, Ed.D. has followed in the footsteps of other universities in NJ, requiring that students coming back to campus in the fall must be vaccinated.
