From Feb. 10 to 12, seven students from Kean University had the opportunity to attend the Lemkin Summit to End Genocide and Mass Atrocities, in Washington D.C. This trip was organized by The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Human Rights Institute, and it was funded by one of Kean's Quality First Initiative Grants (QFI).

Kean is always trying to provide outlets for students, whether through the Human Rights Institute, events in the Miron Student Center (MSC) Atrium or Kean Stage.
Being the leading scorer for a collegiate basketball team is already a difficult task for anyone to accomplish, regardless of what school they play for. Add in a lengthy school schedule, long practices that do not just end when the coach dismisses everyone, and the pressure of being one of the most recognizable faces of collegiate basketball at an institution and someone's work will be cut out for them.
Isaac Taylor is a sophomore at Kean and has already been involved in multiple community service projects to help build a strong involvement resume. He is secretary of the Biology Club, a resident assistant, PARC AC, former freshmen class secretary, current representative for the sophomore class and a Silver Leader with the Leadership Institute. He is able to balance his major in cell & molecular biology with all of his involvement and responsibilities at Kean.
