Students are encouraged to join the Center for Leadership and Service  (CLS) for the Grow-a-Row volunteer opportunity on Saturday, Nov. 18. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Milford Farm. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for anyone who likes to get their hands dirty in the great outdoors.

Making A Difference In The Past Month

Every year, Kean University does its absolute best to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month. During the month of October, student groups and the Kean community have come together to create events and activities to get students and faculty to reach a goal of $5,000. As the month comes to an end, the Kean community can look back and see the many things they did to raise awareness and money to be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Winners for homecoming king and queen were announced during halftime of the football game between Kean University and William Paterson University. On Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, everyone who attended the game found out that the two lucky winners were Kevin Macalos for homecoming king and Fatizenebu Oyibo for homecoming queen.

A Timeless Homecoming Concert!

Hundreds of students filled Wilkins Theater Oct. 5, 2017, as well-known hip-hop artists A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Don Q headlined the venue for Kean University's annual homecoming concert. Sponsored by the Student Organization of Kean University and coordinated by the Programming for Unique and Lively Student Experience (P.U.L.S.E) Organization, the yearly concert saw another fantastic turnout from 8 to 11 p.m. as concertgoers packed the stage as soon as the music began.

An Autumn Lunch Under The Moon

Wednesday, Oct. 4 is the official day of the 2017 year for the Mid-Autumn Festival, a holiday that is celebrated widely in East Asia. Also known as the Moon Festival, people from different parts of Asia come together with their family and friends to celebrate this day of harvest. In order to integrate this traditional holiday with Kean University students, Wenzhou-Kean University Student Association (WKUSA) hosted a Mid-Autumn Festival luncheon at the Miron Student Center (MSC) room 228.
