On Feb. 4, 2004 the very first issue of The Cougar's Byte was released. Initially titled, "Kean Students Online," the newsletter was created with a vision to connect students with upcoming events and opportunities around campus and has continued to expand its mission ever since. This year, Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, The Cougar's Byte celebrates its 15 year anniversary of bringing Kean news to the Kean community.

Additionally, the Kean community will have the opportunity to be involved in various service projects and activities, within CLS's MLK Week of Service events. The MLK Week of Service will take place from Tuesday, Feb. 19 to Sunday, Feb. 24 to spread Dr. King's message of peace.
On Friday, Feb. 1 Kean University will be honoring the American Heart Association and its cause for heart disease awareness with Go Red for Women: Wear Red Day. This day will help to raise funds and awareness of heart disease and overall cardiovascular health, specifically in women.
