Located in the Green Lane Academic Building (GLAB), the Kean University Barnes and Noble Bookstore offers a wide variety of items and services for students to utilize. Everything from textbooks, apparel, study space and a cafe, the bookstore is sure to have what students are looking for.

Finding a job or even an internship in one's desired field can leave students feeling overwhelmed, anxious and even hopeless at times. Students should feel relieved to know that Career Services at Kean is here to help through this time and can alleviate some of the doubt.
The Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) is a student affairs hub where students can find resources in Greek affairs, campus involvement, community service, the Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT), leadership and campus news. The CLS' mission is to promote and encourage student involvement, participation and organization in campus events and organizations.
Kean University prides itself on the various opportunities and programs that transpire on campus to enrich student life. The Office of Student Government is responsible for many of these opportunities, as it is their goal to aid students to have strong leadership skills as well as help them develop personally and professionally. Kean University boasts many active and intriguing clubs that truly enhance campus life for students. The Social Work Club strives to unite students who are interested in the social work profession in both a social and academic environment. The club seeks to cultivate each member's personal and professional development. Moreover, they focus on community involvement and social welfare for all people.
As an institution known for its inclusiveness and diversity, Kean University aims to make all of its students comfortable through the resources it gives to the courses it facilitates. Under the College of Liberal Arts, the English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides non-native English speakers an opportunity to develop their understanding of the language.
The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is a non-profit organization that has been working to elevate the opportunities and quality of life for African American women since its inception in 1935 by Mary McLeod Bethune. Kean has owned its own NCNW chapter since it was chartered in the spring 2018 semester.
In being a hub for cultural and individual diversity, Kean University has a wide range of cultural organizations, including one of the newest organizations, PRISM. PRISM is a group for members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community to come together and feel they have a safe space and are represented on campus.
Jason Pleitez knows the importance of getting involved early. In his first year at Kean, Pleitez has already accumulated over 140 service hours and been involved in numerous clubs and activities and exhibited qualities of a leader.
The Public Speaking Lab, previously known as the Speech Lab, is located across from the Center for Academic Success (CAS) in the Nancy Thompson Library, Room 109. Workers in this department can range from professors to graduates, with part-time job opportunities for students starting at $10 per hour. There are currently two student workers in the lab that handle coaching, scheduling and other minimal tasks.
While Kean can be categorized as a university that draws from the local population to build the majority of its student body, this school still facilitates engagement from a variety of different cultures. This can be seen in Kean’s International Student Association (ISA).
