For the first time, the student body of Kean University voted in a woman to be the president of Student Organization (the full-time undergraduate student government). Starting the fall semester of 2016, Emily Cubilete will take on the role previously held by alumnus Nigel Donald.
Every semester Premiere Stages puts on outstanding plays and this semester is no different.

The North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) is near completion and sure enough students and faculty members will be able to admire the outstanding new building. NAAB will house the health and computer sciences programs.
To help incoming freshman students feel more at ease at Kean University, the Center for Academic Success (CAS) and the School of General Studies will host New Student Orientation (NSO) on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, beginning in Harwood Arena at 8 a.m. This year’s NSO will mark the beginning of college for more than 1,500 first-year students.
There is a new exhibit in town and it is like none other. From HurtJohn comes the exhibit Movement, created by former Kean University student John Hurtado. This exhibit will explore Black Lives Matter and social justice movements.
Every year, at the start of the fall semester, the Miron Student Center Operations and Event Management office hosts Kean Day, an event where students can learn more about the student services offered and the organizations and clubs on campus.
Whenever a student is in need of a medical appointment for whatever non-emergency reason, students can rely on the office of Health Services. Health Services is there to provide the best service possible to all students, but in order for a student to receive the help one needs, he or she needs to set up an appointment.
As a student, one shouldn’t just go to class and then go home or to his or her residence hall room. One should find the courage to get involved on campus and luckily there are many ways to get involved. Kean University offers many opportunities for students get involved, but some students many not even know where to begin.
For incoming students, adding and/or dropping classes can be a hassle if one doesn’t know how to do so. Doing so is quite simple and is important to know if a student needs to either drop or add a class before the semester starts.

Commencement is near. Less than a month of way and thousands of students will be walking across the stage to retrieve their diplomas. The one thing that students have been dying to hear in the weeks leading up to graduation is who the commencement speakers will be. Well, the news is out.

That is exactly what Tim Mousseau did when he came to Kean University on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. He spoke to a room filled with students in the Little Theatre.
