The Skills for Success

Career Services held an Essential Skills for Internships Workshop to inform Kean students on the skills needed to succeed in an internship and for the future.

The Importance of Internships

Eat, Pray, Love: The Experience

On Dec. 7, Professor Libbey’s Eat, Pray, Love section of the first-year seminar set up, Eat, Pray, Love The Experience, took place on the first floor of the Center for Academic Success (CAS) building. This event was inspired by the book, Eat, Pray, Love, a memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert about her journey to self-discovery. The mission of this event was to create an immersive experience for those who had not read the book and inspire them to go on their own journey of self-discovery.

Fighting Cancer, One Full Beard at a Time

As the month of November has rounded out to a close, the No Shave November Event has also concluded. Many students have heard of this event throughout the years, where men will spend the entire month of November without shaving, to support cancer awareness for men. The Kean University Police Department (KUPD) we're no strangers to this event, having participated in the past. The department was able to raise $1,000 for the event by the end of the month.

The Future of Business Analytics

The room overlooking the New York skyline was filled with students and faculty who were eager to learn more about analytics in modern day business corporations.

Calling All Playwrights To Premiere Stages!

W. John Bauer and Nancy Boucher established The Bauer Boucher Playwriting Awards in 2014 to recognize one Kean student and one Kean alumni for their work each year. This award supports the writers who are awarded it in enhanced visibility, dramaturgical feedback, a cash award and the opportunity to hear their plays read out loud by an ensemble of professional actors. This is an amazing opportunity for young writers to have their work put out into the world and get a jumpstart to their career.

Spiking Their Way Into The NJAC

With students returning to campus, sports at Kean University is in full swing and Women’s Volleyball is no exception.
