Hearing Music From The Suitcase

(10/27/17 1:59pm)

Yevgeny Kutik, a violinist from Russia, will appear at Kean Stage’s Enlow Recital Hall Friday, Nov. 3, 2017. He will perform Russian miniatures by a variety of composers, which holds dear to him and his family who immigrated to the United Stages in 1990. It was music that his mother packed into the family’s suitcases as they fled Russia. Kutik brought this to life on his 2014 album, "Music from the Suitcase: A Collection of Russian Miniatures," that debuted at number five on the Billboard Classical chart.

This novel was created as a response to Thomas Dixon's racial-baiting novel, "The Leopard's Spots."
