On Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, the Catholic Newman Club got festive at their Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in the Miron Student Center Atrium. Students were able to wear festive accessories and enjoy treats while celebrating the holiday spirit.Complimentary frozen hot chocolates and pretzels were provided by Auntie Anne's.

Acting Director Susan Gannon and Assistant Director Reenat Munshi say the research days is a great way for students to network and showcase their research in non-competitive environment.
The newest of Kean University's 19 graduate programs is in Genetic Counseling (M.S.). Utilizing a diverse skill set, the new program combines science with real work practice to create and advance treatments. This program will give students the opportunity to research, advance medical science and establish new diagnostic produces.

Kean Dance Marathon (KDM) is an event hosted by the Greek Senate every spring semester to raise funds for the Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. It is a 12 hour long dance marathon in which members of the Kean community dance in place for the children that cannot themselves. Every year, the fundraising total from the last is surpassed, with this past year's total being the largest at $54,175.51 all #ForTheKids.

At Kean University, Kean Stage is preparing for the holidays with four shows: The Klezmatics, A Very Electric Holiday, Darlene Love: Love for the Holidays and A Christmas Story (film). Not only is she the current Chapter President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, but she also serves as the Student Trustee for Kean University's Board of Trustees.A Board of Trustees is an elected group of people who are responsible for managing an organization. Kean University has a Board of Trustees made up of 15 members, all appointed by the Governor of New Jersey. Each year, a Student Trustee representative is picked to work alongside the Board of Trustees. Asare was this year's pick, having learned of the chance to become a Student Trustee from one of her professors while working for Kean Hall.
