On behalf of the School of General Studies, the Office of Counseling, Accessibility, Alcohol and Other Drug Services held an online event for students on April 26 to learn healthy strategies to manage their stress. During this 40 minute event students received information on how to distress with the end of the semester approaching.

On Thursday, April 15, Kean Galleries held on an online event on Protest Art Exhibit in Memory of George Floyd as a part of Kean University's Unity Week. Curator and Moderator, Jacquelyn Tuerk-Stonberg Ph.D., welcomes students and staff to join the conversation with artists as they discuss the stories behind their art.

On March 24, students from a variety of majors joined Kean's Women and Gender Studies Program, in partnership with the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Liberal Arts and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, to welcome guest speaker Dr. Claire Renzetti to present her research on sexual assault and a college students perception.

On March 19, Kean P.U.L.S.E Programming Board for Unique and Lively Students (P.U.L.S.E) hosted their first Roots: Tiny Desk Concert on Youtube Live in celebration of Black History Month. Both students and staff were welcome to watch Kean students share their roots through a variety of performances from dance, spoken word and song.

On Feb. 26, Kean’s Nancy Thompson Library Learning Commons (NTLC) held an Allied Health Digital Library Resources Webinar. Kean students were exposed to the many databases on the NTLC website that can help them find health and medical information. The goal of this workshop was to guide students into access to evidence-based healthcare information.

On Feb. 12, Kean P.U.L.S.E Programming Board for Unique and Lively students (P.U.L.S.E) hosted a virtual Lunar New Year celebration. Kean students were given the opportunity to learn traditions on how to bring in the Lunar New Year, gain knowledge on Chinese culture and even had the chance to receive a Year of the Ox T-shirt.

First announced in July 2020 by President Lamont Repollet, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was created to push for a stronger Kean community. They aim to make Kean University a fair and equitable community through comprehensive and strategic diversity programs. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is dedicated to supporting and promoting representation and inclusion all throughout the Kean University campus.
