Maskne, also known as acne mechanica, is caused by friction from the mask or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) rubbing against your skin. You may notice that maksne is worse in the warmer months because of increased sweat, humidity, and bacteria. The tighter or more PPE you wear, the worse your maskne can become. This is not to say you should skimp on PPE, just ramp up your face cleansing routine after a long day in your mask.

He is a person of many talents and is already creating a name for himself outside of Kean University, by authoring a book as well as owning a business.

As Kean students reclaim their routines for the fall semester, they're now faced not just with the traditional challenges of classes, jobs, social lives and so forth, but also with adapting to a largely remote world. A majority of the university's classes are being held online for safety, as well as organization events and informational sessions - but throughout all these changes, students are silently tasked with creating new routines to maintain their health and physical fitness.

In September, the Office of Student Government and Student Organization of Kean University held their freshman class elections information sessions via Zoom to encourage students to run for the Freshman Class Executive Board and Senate. Elections will take place from Monday, Oct. 19 to Wednesday, Oct. 21, when the election announcements will be posted as a news article on Cougar Link.

On Thursday, Sept. 16, Greek Senate's annual Meet the Greeks happened virtually via Cougar Link for the first time ever, as restrictions on gatherings remain in effect due to the current health crisis. Meet the Greeks began at 7:30 p.m. and concluded at 9:30 p.m.

2020 marks a century since American women's fight for suffrage brought about the 19th Amendment. 2020 also marks a century since the last election that followed a devastating pandemic, and the introduction of millions of young Americans between 18 and 22 years old into the voting population. It will be the fifty-ninth presidential election since the nation declared independence, but only be the twenty-fifth in which all Americans will be afforded the right to vote promised in the Constitution. With every election cycle, but perhaps more so this year than ever before, the right and obligation of every American to vote becomes clearer.
